New York Head Start Association engages in numerous partnerships throughout the communities in New York State. We will continue to play a key role in each of our communities, connecting and partnering with local schools, local providers of child care, state and local preschool initiatives and other community service providers for families on behalf of those most in need.

We will continue to work in concert and share community resources with our partners to ensure that all children receive the services they need on their road to success, and that all parents have opportunities to grow in support of their children. Because of these partnerships, New York Head Start Association will continue to be the nexus of support for New York’s families.

Membership in the New York Head Start Association is comprised of four affiliate groups: the Head Start Directors, the Head Start Staff, the Head Start Parents, and the Head Start Friends.

Membership year runs January 1-Decemeber 31 of each year and is renewable at the beginning of the calendar year. Membership is contingent upon payment of annual dues and the support of the purposes of the New York Head Start Association and adherence to its bylaws.
Each member is entitled on one vote an all matters properly coming before the membership at any regular special meeting and may allow them to participate on the Board of Directors’ Affiliate Committees. Dues are set by the board each year.

support and be a partner with Head Start, an organization that for more than 40 years continues to provide high quality early care and education services to millions of disadvantaged children and their families.
